Accreditation Status of Bachelor’s Degree Program in Accounting
Accreditation is the determination of quality standards or assessment of an educational institution, including programs or majors in higher education.
It is not only the university level that is required to carry out accreditation, but also are programs or majors to carry out this accreditation process. Therefore, it is normal to find departments’ accreditation status that are sometimes different from the university’s.
Accreditation is an official assessment based on the Regulation of the Minister of Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 28, 2005. The process of determining university accreditation is carried out through the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). Higher education institutions usually carry out this accreditation process every 5 years.
The information that we share regarding the accreditation of Accreditation of the Accounting Department at Maranatha Christian University is also based on the results of an assessment from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education or commonly abbreviated as BAN-PT. The assessment aspects of BAN-PT are usually content standards, process standards, study program management, graduate competencies, learning process facilities, financing standards, research, assessment, and so on.
