The Faculty of Business at Maranatha Christian University held the culmination of the 36th Anniversary of the establishment of the Faculty of Economics, which has now changed its name to the Faculty of Business on Friday, April 1, 2022. With the theme of “Smart Collaboration to Treasure the Future”.
The highlight of the Anniversary of the Faculty of Business, Maranatha Christian University was attended by the entire academic community through the Zoom Meeting channel and also carried out onsite by some lecturers and committees of Maranatha Christian University. This Anniversary event was also broadcast live through the YouTube channel.
This series of events began with an opening prayer and welcoming speech by all FB lecturers. It also commenced with remarks by Prof. Ir. Sri Widiyantoro, M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU, as the Chancellor of Maranatha Christian University.
Attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Business, Mr. Tan Ming Kuang, S.E, M.Si, Ak., CA., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Ms. Imelda Junita, S.E, M.T., Deputy Dean of Human Resources, Ms. Felicia Abednego , S.E., M.M. for cutting tumpeng (rice cone) as a symbol of the value of tolerance, safety, and prosperity for the blessings given by God. The 36th Anniversary event was chaired by Mrs. Yolla Margaretha, S.E, M.M.
Moreover, this Dies Natalis held a variety of exciting games and prizes. Prizes in the form of electronic balances of IDR 100,000 each per game category. The entire academic community of the Faculty of Business at Maranatha Christian University joined the event with very high enthusiasm. Several songs by students and lecturers of the Faculty of Business at Maranatha Christian University were also performed.
In his report, the Dean of the Faculty of Business conveyed an evaluation and reflection on the activities and achievements that have been carried out to date and also explained the University's hopes for the future. In addition, he congratulated the achievements of this year's outstanding students from the Accounting and Management Study Program.
It was also a matter of pride to state that the transformation of the name ‘Faculty of Economics’ to the ‘Faculty of Business’ for the past 6 years has succeeded. The accreditation achieved is “VERY GOOD (A)”, and it is hoped that FB can have an international-level accreditation as well. Currently, the Faculty of Business is also preparing a doctoral (S3) program. FB's efforts to achieve a very proud accreditation require hard work and support from all parties. Hopefully this momentum will inspire us to create a superior and more advanced campus.
The end of the event was filled with announcements of winners of games with prizes and competitions, as well as closing prayers.
